About
I am an Artist
Attended Parsons School of design in New York City, Rhode Island school of design, Otis in Los Angeles and Haystack on Deer island Maine.
I have always been a painter . I love teaching students how to study . Study hard and space out to the place that you are meant to be. I teach all media. Oils are my first love, watercolors are a natural complement to sketching.
I love pens, colored pencils and illustration ....biological illustration especially.
I will engage in learning with you.
Just bring your paints and a plan.
I just like to paint and show off..a cup of coffee, bright colors and the radio...fusion for me..let my inner abstract expressionist out. The fantastic thing is you can incorporate it into traditional hyperrealistic subjects.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Start with a picture and then learn about the medium.
Every idea starts with a first draft. I encourage my students to bring clippings, photos and magazines learning to express your interests. My first hit was an oil pastel of " Starry Night" I loved Van Gogh. I made my parents take me to every Van Gogh exhibit. I exhibited it in my town library when I was in elementary school.
