Hello! My name is Jacob, and I have been a violinist for 20 years. I also play the cello (a little bit), Piano (a little bit), and Viola. I intend to give students the same opportunity to excel at music that I was given by my teacher when I started taking violin lessons at 7 years old. I will personalize the curriculum for each student based on their individual needs. The particular book series that I use is the Suzuki method. This is because my violin teacher used it to teach me, and because Suzuki has instructions with pictures on how to hold the bow, stand properly, and hold the instrument with correct form. This helps the student practice properly when the teacher is not present!
Learning how to play an instrument takes time, and I will ensure that I support my students every step of the way. I am excited to work together!
