About
Hi, I'm passionate about helping people unleash their true colors and making the world a brighter place, one painting at a time!
Painting abstractly, we tap into that part of you that wants to express yourself with no judgement.
You'll learn to use different mediums, brushes, scrapers and tools, PLUS learn foundational things such as composition and color. You don't need to draw a straight line to have artistic abilities, that's what rulers are for! 😉 You only need the desire to express yourself and guidance in using colors and composition effectively.
Everyone has their own gift of unique expression. And I help you find that emotion and express it on canvas. Celebrating our own uniqueness sometimes is as simple as giving ourselves permission to be free and "be me".
About Me
I'm best known for my colorful abstract and celebrity portrait paintings, oftentimes combining words or lyrics to express uplifting and empowering themes. My earlier design career was spent working with Warner Bros. Studio’s, the Dali Museum among others.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I teach one-on-one lessons from my home studio here in F section of Rohnert Park. Each class is 2 hours long and cost is $50. There's space for 2 people at a time, so if you wanted to take painting classes together with a friend or spouse - we can do that too. I supply all tools, canvas, paper, gels, paints and mediums. If you have already have some paints and brushes, we'll review them and will show you how you can use them effectively.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching in the summer of 2018, after being told that I had a knack for it. I've only recently begun accepting students, here in my studio. And am told my passion for painting makes learning it fun.
What types of students have you worked with?
I love to introduce people to acrylic painting, it's such a versatile medium. Though I do paint in watercolor, oils and inks - painting in acrylics is handier-especially when teaching in a short block of 2 hours.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I'm a featured artist at Saatchi Art and on Artfinder. I've been in featured in 3 collections, plus have a 5 star rating.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Please make sure they teach basic composition and color theory. You simply cannot paint without basic knowledge of these two.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What style of painting interests you - show them a few images of styles you would like to paint in.
Do you work impulsively or quickly - then perhaps acrylics are a better fit for you. Or do you tend to work slow and methodical, then perhaps oil painting is a better fit. Do you want to paint plein-air (outdoors), acrylics will definitely be harder to use (unless it's the wet season here)or, you use Golden Opens (longer wet time) and even then it can be difficult. Give your instructor some ideas of what you want to learn, so that they can help you acheive your goals! But most of all - painting is fun - enjoy the journey - even if it seems overwhelming at first - just enjoy the process.
