About

Hi, I have a unique method of instruction. I have participated in Little League baseball, Basketball, Golf, High school Football and College Rugby. I started playing tennis when I retired from Club rugby in my 30's. My present level is USTA 4.0 which is an advanced intermediate.

I lived in Denver and took tennis lessons for 15 years at the Gates Tennis Center with the top Pros there. I then moved to WDC for 2 years and Played at the Rock Creek Citi Open tennis facility and took a few lessons from the Tennis Pro there. I have since relocated to Vista. I used to belong to the Vista Tennis Club but it has closed. I took lessons from Larry Jester one of the Pro's there. I teach the serve by first showing my student how a football or baseball is thrown which takes the full use of the legs, core, shoulders, arms, and wrist. Then I show the student how to begin to adjust such a throwing technique into a serve. I assign home exercises to develop hand I coordination with the ball and racket.

Try to practice alone or with another person for 3 hours between each lesson.

Or do not take another lesson until you have practiced 3 hours on your own.
