I’m a professional fine artist, who has been practicing art, specially drawing and painting from very young age and has been teaching at lest for 15 years. Art is not only my career, but it is my passion. My students grow very well because I usually make a spicific plan for every single one, based on their age, capacity and goal and this way they will see the progress every session and become more encoraged and interested to practice more and learn more. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First session the student will do a drawing and I’ll evaluate his/her drawing skills, then we will talk and make a plan with respect to the students level of skills, age, and inerests. From the secons session, I start teaching the basics of realistic drawing and will continue step by step toward working in color.
I have my own strategies and style in teaching to adults and children, which are absolutely different in nature and the way we move on.
For adults, I would prefer to keep them learning and practicing the realistic drawing only in black and white, at least for the first 10 sessions. (Unless they request to go to color faster) and for the next 10 sessions we practic color drawing and painting with different materials. (experimenting) And, after that, the student usually is skilled enough to continue the practice on his/her own, independently. If they want, we will keep working together and they work under my supervision and master their skills.
For Children, I usually give them the freedome to chose either to draw with a single pencil, or paint in colors. They would definitely work with colorful materials a lot, in orer to keep being motivated and creative, as well as enjoying the beauty of the final result every session.

Bachelor's degree in fine arts.

$80 per hour private sessions
$50 per hour each student for semi private sessions (2 or 3 students)
How did you get started teaching?
I’ve been teaching since I was studying in the university and after that it continued by the requests coming to me from the people who loved my artworks. I teach because I love art and I enjoy to pass it on to others.

Neumerous art exhibitions, the most recent at Blue 7 Gallery in Santa Monica ,CA, 2018.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
To be patient with art and enjoy the process of learning more than seeking to get a fast result because the world of art is a great one and there is always something to learn as long as you are pationate.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Why do they want to learn art? What is beneficial for them? What goal and result they are working at? How much time they would put to practice every week?
