Lula Flores Art Academy

I really enjoyed learning from Lula. She does a really good job explaining the things shes showing you. I think I made really good progress even in the just 1 hour I spent with her and Im looking forward to meeting with her again soon to continue working on my new art piece.

Lula is a wonderful teacher. Her teaching style of experimenting with the materials while learning to express yourself (and understanding there is no wrong) is a wonderful way to learn. Shes great at explaining about concepts and how to use different materials. She is always there to help with issues whether it be drawing, painting, or mixed-media. Im thrilled to have found her and would highly recommend her to anyone regardless of experience or age.

The class is amazing! She is absolutely professional at art and most importantly in teaching. Ive had several other art classes in around LA in 2018 & 2019. The teachers i have met were pretty artistic and cool but they were not good at make student understand the sense of the art. In this point i undertand the Art is so subjetive. Which means its really hard to share or teach how they exactly feel or how they work. But Lula. She is really artistic & she does know how to teach and know how to lead student to get the sense of the art. 100% recomended!

As a new years resolution I wanted to learn how to learn how to paint. I knew the bare minimum when it comes to oil paints but Lula has been a such a great teacher and she let me tap into her knowledge on art. I love how she brings my creativity to life and into paintings. Can’t wait to start on a new piece with Lula.

I had such an amazing time! I have some experience with sketching but wanted to explore what I could do with different media. Lulas studio was the perfect place to explore that. She works with all kinds of media from watercolor, acrylic, oil and does some really amazing things with paper and texture and even RESIN.

Lula was so professional and was able to answer any question that I had. She told me about her background which was actually very technical. I think it’s great to have such a talented teacher.

After looking at her work in the studio I knew she had a lot of experience with human figures, something I find very difficult!

I started my project with charcoal and went into applying different paper and acrylic. She helped me understand composition better so that my piece was appealing and didn’t feel slapped together. I also got a really great understanding of mixing color and look forward to the upcoming lessons to finish my piece.

One of my favorite parts of the whole experience is how relaxed and meditational everything felt. I felt absolutely no pressure and just really appreciate the one on one interactions with the no judgment feeling. It was the perfect way to get into abstract art. I left feeling very accomplished and I honestly think that Lula will make every one of her students feel like this.

Lula possesses a very keen eye and pays exceptional attention to detail in her craft.

Her passionate, nuturing, and positive attitude has really inspired me in becoming a better artist, while making the entire experience all the more enjoyable!

I highly recommend that any age and level of art enthusiast work with Lula!
