I have been A Photography Teacher For New York Film Academy on the Universal Studios Lot specializing in working with beginners to advanced students while specializing in portraits, landscape, events film developing, & darkroom printing for 8 years now.
I trained and worked as an apprentice at Rolling Stone Magazine for 4 years and then to the famous photographers Richard Noble & Annie Leibovitz while shooting for The White House and Vanity Fair, Vogue, & G.Q. magazines and many well known album covers for Prince and The Rolling Stones and many other very famous musicians for a total of 8 years of apprenticeship working world wide based in New York City & Los Angeles!
In 1989, i opened my studio and my professional career started with shooting the worldwide Swatch Watch campaigns also photographing major celebrities Nicole Kidman, Cameron Diaz, Jason Bateman, Matt LeBlanc, River Phoenix Hilary Swank & editorials for seventeen, self, glamour, & cosmopolitan magazines !
After 20 years working in New York I returned to Los Angeles to continue my professional career and was asked to teach Photography at the New York Film Academy at Universal Studios!
I love teaching and sharing my experiences and knowledge which I started while I was their Assistant since 1982 from 8 of the Worlds most Legendary Photographer's in Los Angeles New York City & Milan Italy!
I love making images and sharing the experiences & knowledge from I have learned from the Masters of Photography that I learned from!📗🔎

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will start by asking the following questions to a new student to have a background on what the student wishes to learn:
1) Do you have any background on photography like having it as a hobby or have you had any informal or formal training?
2) Which subject of photography are you interested to learn?
3) Are you studying with the end goal to have photography as a career or is this just to improve your skill?
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My apprenticeship started with Richard Noble in Los Angeles for all the major cigarette campaigns like Virginia Slims Kool, Marlboro Man & all major beer like Miller Beer & liquor campaigns like Black Velvet! That studio was a legendary place to work and one of the top studios in Los Angeles!
in 1986 I moved to New York City to assist for EJ Camp for Rolling Stone Magazine!
After 4 years, I was able to move next door and work at the Annie Leibovitz Studio for Vanity Fair Magazine.
After my stint with Annie Leibovitz, I was asked to work for Helmut Newton in Los Angeles for Vanity Fair Magazine.

Yes, my pricing for over 40 years of commercial Photography 5 years experienced Photography School Teacher at New York Film Academy on the Universal Studio Lot will be $75.--per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching photography at New York Film Academy when I was asked by the Dean of Instructors to do so.
I really love sharing my knowledge and skills which I earned through years of working for the best photographers in the industry.
Also, I conduct sessions on a one on one basis to photography hobbyists or those who want to have a formal one on one training.
What types of students have you worked with?
International and local students from beginners to Hobbist and to those who aspire to be professional photographers !
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was tasked by the Sustainable Economic Enterprises of Los Angeles (SEE-LA) to photograph the 25th anniversary of the Hollywood Farmers Market with celebrity chefs Curtis Stone, Susan Feniger, Brendan Collins to name a few.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Check the background of the teacher by logging in to his website to check his credentials and all his works.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The students should know which subject of photography is more comfortable with them and which subjects they are most interested to learn.
