About

I have been a professional photographer for 20 years since starting out in Milan, Italy doing model headshots and fashion. I enjoy interacting with people and really enjoy teaching how to take some awesome photos! I am very experienced in many types of photography and able to instruct anyone from beginner to professional. My website will give great examples: www.gvphotography.com

I enjoy the ability to be creative and have fun while working. Once again I enjoy interacting with people and giving them the tools to make fantastic images! I have been lucky enough to have worked all over the world in many different countries/environments with interesting and creative people.

After only a handful of photography lessons with Greg I can honestly say I’ve learned more than anything I had previously learned on watching YouTube videos or studying my camera’s manual. Greg’s lessons are hands on, entertaining and informative. His expertise and passion for photography are obvious in his teaching style and my pictures reflect that (no pun intended). He is flexible with my schedule, and if he is not booked on a job, then he’s usually available. On top of all that his rate is very reasonable and his lessons are of great value for his expertise.

    Frequently asked questions

Find out what they want to learn and achieve. Also their level of profiency. For example: With beginners we will go over their camera's functions and capabilities first including the ISO, Aperture, Shutter controls and the lense(s) they have. (Or I will supply a camera). Then go practice by taking photos until comfortable. Next lesson we review and continue with this or move on depending on the student. With more experienced photographers I will ask what they want to learn and go from there.

BA Degree in Photography/Film from University of Minnesota. I have been a professional photographer for over 20 years and have worked with the best photographers, videographers, planners, PR, Advertising reps, producers, etc.

$40-60/hr. This depends on how and where we connect. The phone or internet is the least expensive, then meeting at my studio is next. If I travel to someone it will depend on how far.

I have been teaching 2nd photographers and assistants on my jobs for many years.

I have worked with students that have no experience with a DSLR camera to professional photographers looking to learn and improve their photography.

I just returned from a trip to Chicago working a live event for 5 days for my best client Coca-Cola.

Make sure they have many awesome photos and reviews you can see on the internet. Make sure they have experience in real professional photography.

What do they want to learn and accomplish. They should also choose someone who is passionate about photography and if they are easy to communicate with.
