My personal attention and mentorship of any of my students is what really makes me stand out. I treat everyone the best way I can and I also adapt my teachings to my students pace in order to get the concepts clear. I teach with passion since I have a strong passion for photography.
I'm a photography and composition enthusiast. I love working with people, photographing them, make them feel confident and teach my students how to do it as well.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First of all I contact the student and I try to get a feel of the actual status and goals he/she is trying to accomplish. From there we will discuss about the days and hours, place where the class is going to happen (student's, my place, cafe or some other location). I will work the price personally with everyone tailoring it according to every student's needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
10 years of photography experience as a photo journalist for international photo agencies.
Attended a big number of seminars and courses in photography specialized topics.

Photography requires consistency. Teaching you the basics in one or two hours is not an option for me. I'd like to work with you in a long term basis, kind of a consultant if you prefer this term instead of an in and out one time thing. Contact me and we'll work everything put smoothly.
How did you get started teaching?
I lived in Mexico City for 5 years (I'm from Spain originally) before arriving in LA and I worked for XP Photography, a company specialized in courses which I did along 2 straight days (normally weekends) twice a month in front of a class of max. 40 people. Theoretical and practical plus a continuous follow up via facebook groups.
What types of students have you worked with?
Begginers from 14 to 75 years old. All of them eager to learn how to make photography not only about their own camera.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was teaching groups of 10-40 people on a regular basis and I am still in touch with most of them discussing their photos or simply answering questions or giving advice to them (for free, obviously).
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Work with someone that understands photography and know s how to transmit that knoledge to you. Try to avoid going to technical unless you want to spend three years of your life to learn it. Nowadays we all need examples and the way of applying it on a regular basis.
