What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Assessing their level of instruction, tailoring the lessons to their desires and goals; Going over both ear training and notation; getting comfortable finding the logistics of the keyboard,
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied 3 years with Charles Pratt, Ragtime and Modern Specialist, Classical Piano 3 years with Prof Richard Grayson of Occidential College, 2 years Jazz Piano with Abby Frazier Former Director @ CBS Music 2 Years of Pipe Organ techniques, Santa Monica College, have played professionally since 1976 both solo and bands multiple styles, have taught piano since 1978 from beginner to advanced levels
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Typically is a dollar a minute with the min lesson 30 minutes which is what I recommend for children 6-10 This is pricing at my studio, if you want lessons at your residence its 1.50 per minute or 45.00 per 1/2 hour for example I recommend weekly lessons and at least 1 hour per lesson for 11 and over.
How did you get started teaching?
One of my teachers had recommended I start giving lessons to beginners and it went from there back in 78, I found it quite rewarding expecially if there was progress every week.

beginner to advanced levels Ages 5-88
I can teach any level and I specialize in teaching how to compose and improvise.
