Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When first starting to work with a new student, our teachers start by getting an idea of their previous music education and background, learning more specifically about what they want to learn and their musical goals and objectives for the near and distant future, and taking note of the kinds of music that they enjoy the most. Using that information, they are then able to create lesson plans that are specifically tailored to the needs of that student. Every student is unique, and our job as their teachers is to adjust our teaching style accordingly to ensure that they get the best training and instruction we can offer.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our teachers are all graduates of Berklee College of Music with degrees in Composition, Songwriting, Vocal Performance, Piano Performance, Film Scoring, and Music Productiona and Engineering to name a few.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons are $65 per hour

What types of students have you worked with?
We work with students of all ages and levels of experience.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We are very proud to say that we have helped a number of students recieve scholarships and gain acceptance into top tier music schools such as Berklee College of Music and USC Thornton School of Music.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
It is important for a student to find a teacher that they are comfortable with. Good chemistry is a must. Music is supposed to be fun, and if the student is not looking forward to every lesson with their teacher, they have the wrong teacher.
Communication between student and teacher is extremely important as well. The more questions a student can ask the better. A student should always be upfront about what they want to be learning and focusing on. That will help their teachers understand how to best help them.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should think about the kinds of music that moves, excites, and inspires them the most so that they can communicate that to their teacher. They should also think about whether music is just a hobby or something that they want to pursue professionally. If they have aspirations of becoming a professional musician, they should understand that it takes an enormous amount of dedication and perseverance to get to the professional level and the sooner they start the better. If a student explains this desire and commitment to their teacher, their teacher should be able to point them in the right direction, offer advice when needed, and work to always keep their best interests in mind.
