About
I love math and I love teaching and tutoring Mathematics.
I love working with all students grades 4 - 12. I also like adults who are working on strengthening their high school skills. I am not good with college probability, calculus, or statistics and would not be a best choice for those subjects. I excel with Geometry and Algebra. I work best from my home in Yorba Linda but also do well remotely with Zoom and my document camera. I can best be reached by text at 714.504.6655. Or email at [email protected]. I am called Pat by all my students and their parents. I look forward to hearing from you.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to look at a student's past work to experience how they process a problem. I usually have them do homework problems with me so I can watch them work. I ask lots of questions and give lots of praise.

BA in Mathematics from the University of Southern California. CA clear and current single subject teaching credential grades 1-12 plus adult in Math. Graduate units in continuing math courses. 30 plus years experience in teaching, substituting and tutoring.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $30 per 60 minute session. Payment cash, Venmo, or Zelle.
How did you get started teaching?
After a summer of tutoring, a full time teaching job opened at a high school I my close neighborhood. I applied, cleared all paperwork requirements, cleared TB test, and did well enough on sample teaching math assignment to impress principal of school. Other schools and grade levels have changed over the years, but my love for math has never retired.
