Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We offer all new students a free trial class. This helps us to find a class that a new students enjoys and that pushes them to excel without being in a class that is overwhelming.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our faculty is the best in the area! Many of our teachers have danced professionally, and they all have years of teaching experience. Our school uses a detailed cirriculum so that all classes are taught consistantly and all students are given the necessary skills to move on to the next level of classes.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Hour long classes are $75 per month, all additional classes are discounted at 20%. We also offer 15% sibling discounts. Unlimited group clases are $297 per month and all private lessons are $34 per lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
Melissa Morelli started dancing as a child in Arvada. She went on to dance professionally in Los Angeles appearing on television shows just as Glee, So You Think You Can Dance, America's Got Talent and the Voice. While living in Los Angles she discovered her love for teaching, and spent several years traveling throughout the U.S. as a master teacher and choreographer. She trained in voice and dance and is thrilled that she can spend her timing giving back to the youth of her home community of Arvada.
What types of students have you worked with?
We have students from the ages of 2 through 18. We welcome every level from beginner through advanced.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We are fond of our annual dance recitals and bi-annual music recitals. Seeig children work so hard and the happiness and confidence that is evident on their faces after a performance is what we strive for!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher that can challenge you each and every class while always working to achieve improved technique. Classes that are too easy or too difficult do not result in the greatest growth or enjoyment for students. Also find the teacher who teaches the whole child, one who cares about how they're feeling not just about how they are dancing or playin their instrument.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Did they enjoy class? Are they at the right level of class? Are they completing things correctly or not? Are they working their hardest?
