I am a retired teacher and coach with over 30 years of experience. The basketball court and weight room at my house are great training facilities.
I am passionate about helping young athletes reach their full potential through hard work and perseverance.
I enjoy working with athletes to improve their skills. Watching them grow in their ability to perform and their physical conditioning is very rewarding for me.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Basic fundamental skills and knowledge of the game are essential to becoming a competent player. Certain skills will be taught and repeated through specific drills and as the player progresses the difficulty and intensity of the drills will increase as well.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
During my over 40 years as a player and coach I have been blessed to have learned from some great teachers and coaches. That is the background knowledge and experience that I will impart on the athletes that I'll train.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I will charge $30-35 per one hour training session depending on the specifics of training. I have access to strength training equipment as well and if wanted can be incorporated into the workout.
How did you get started teaching?
I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Central Michigan University and started my teaching career after moving to Colorado .
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a wide range of students, male and female, varied races and ethnicities, from grade school through high school age.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently enjoyed attending my grandson's youth league football games and helping my son coach the team. I've also enjoyed watching another grandson who is an accomplished gymnast practice his gymnastics skills.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Have a phone conversation or face to face meeting to make sure you are compatible and feel comfortable with his or her training style.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Have a clear and realistic understanding of goals and expectations as well as how hard you're willing to work.
