The Boulder School of Fine Art is a classical art school directed by Raz Seri, graduate of the Florence Academy of Art and Sharon Solomon, graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. Elena Cantor, is a fellow graduate from the Florence Academy of Art and brings her over 7 years' teaching experience to help students of all levels and ages learn how to draw and paint realistically from life. Conner Choi is a landscape and still life painting teacher who teaches in studio as well as plein aire classes. Guest instructors offer workshops. Classes are ongoing throughout the year. Students who enroll in classes at the Boulder School of Fine Art will have access to excellent art instruction in a relaxed and personal school.
Our students vary in experience from beginners to advanced but are all interested in developing their talents and art. Our teachers all love the interaction, fellowship and experience of seeing their students gratification at developing their art.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Students contact Sharon Solomon, administrator and registrar for the Boulder School of Fine art by emailing her at [email protected] or calling or texting 303-819-5923. She schedules the first visit for students to the school.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Raz Seri, founder and director of the Boulder School of Fine Art, is a graduate of the Florence Academy of Art and has taught painting and drawing in the greater Denver/Boulder area for 10 years. Elena Cantor, graduate of the Florence Academy of Art, teaches painting and drawing. She has joined the Boulder School of Fine Art after 7 years teaching in Colorado.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Painting classes are priced at $50/session if 4 or more classes are purchased for a month. Classes are $60/class if 3 or fewer classes are purchased for a month. Figure and portrait classes are priced at $60/class There is a $10 monthly activity fee that covers basic supplies for beginning classes.
How did you get started teaching?
The Florence Academy of Art, florenceacademyofart.com , is an Italian Art atelier that teaches students how to teach as well as how to draw and paint. Raz studied there and graduated in 2009. Raz Seri then moved to Colorado and began teaching art in the Denver Public Schools, started an art school in Denver, and then in Boulder and has taught for several years at the Art Students League in Denver. He teaches beginners through advanced level students and brings his over 20 years of drawing and painting experience as well as over 10 years teaching students in Colorado.
