About
It is very important not just to teach, but to take time to understand, what the students needs are. Art can seem intimidating to some and that is not what it should ever feel like. I personally believe that simply having a desire for the arts, is were it all begins. Too many people give up once they start to compare what others around them are doing and for some reason they give up to soon. I want to build you up, providing you with the right tools so your creativity and confidence will blossom. Everyone has a story to tell through expression and it is empowering and valuble.
I too am on a journey and found that painting was quite healing for me, thus why I decided on the name Paint and Heal for my business. I am not offering counciling services, but will at times impliment fun facts on how or why art helps the mind.
I enjoy helping people see what they are capable of creating. Art is from within and even though we may work together on the same project, each person will have their own unique way of expression. This is what fascinates me.
The class is tailored to the student working around what interests they would like to paint, or create. I formulate ideas to help around those interests. I am happy to add other mediums if necessary. If the student wants to delve into learning more with clay, pastel, charcoal, watercolor, or gauche, I am happy to teach that as well. Acrylic is what I work with most.
Please leave your phone number when sending a lesson request, so I can reach out to you and set up a FREE 30 minute consultation to personally customize a plan that will be best for you. I look forward to working with you!

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My most recent event was the Rocky Mountain Raptor Rescue Gala. They sent me an Ostrich egg to paint on, for their fundraiser. What a fun experience. I sat at a beautiful table with people I had never met and watched a father and his little girl, tugging on his shirt, asking him to be sure they get this egg. As I watched the girls eyes gleaming with hope and crossed fingers and the dad sweating it out, I just smiled and said a little prayer they could win it at a price they could afford. The auction came to an end and happy hugs from daughter and sighs of relief from dad as they ended up being the lucky winners. They didn't know who I was until later and what fun that was to get hugs and high fives. It's went to a good cause and to a good home.
