First off, please don’t contact me if you don’t live in the Lafayette/Boulder Colorado area and are not willing to do a remote lesson if you live further away than that. Also I only teach 45 or 60 minute lessons out of my home studio. I do not teach on weekends.

I make learning piano and voice super fun! You can choose the music you’d like to play and/or sing!

Plus I have 4 little sweet pups to encourage you. :)

April is a wonderful piano teacher. She takes piano lessons seriously, and expects the kids she teaches to do so as well. That being said, she knows how to make the lessons fun and even when my son is in a bad mood or doesnt want to go to piano, he always leaves his lesson with a big smile on his face. My son has been with April for 7 years now and we would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone who wants to learn piano.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I get to know the student and cater to their individual needs and help them feel secure. And mostly I want my students to have fun learning!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I studied in high school at the San Francisco Conservatory of music.

BA in Piano Performance at UC Santa Cruz
