About
Hello! I have studied photography, studio arts, painting, expressive arts, and art therapy for several years at San Diego State University, Notre Dame de Namur University, and Packard Art studio in Los Altos, CA. I like to combine these experiences into creating an art experience that is enjoyable, self-expressive, and also technically proficient. That said, I like to work with students to help them accomplish their own particular goals.
I enjoy the technical aspect in that it helps an artist or photographer more universally communicate with their audience. I know that creating art, or finding the right shot to photograph can be very fulfulling and rewarding, and I try to pass that on to people that I work with.
Another thing that I love - EVERYONE's work is so unique to them. Creative arts and photography enable us to communicate who and what we are, and how we see and experience the world in such a personal way. Great stuff!
I am including this site simply to give you a taste of my own artwork and photography - not to sell. I have sold the majority of my completed artwork over the years and can also assist with preparing artwork for sale, how to do a show, etc.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I want to get to know a student's wishes and expectations. Do you want to create museum or gallery appropriate work ultimately? Are you looking purely for recreation? Self-Expression?
What are your favorite artists? If you are interested in photography, what types of photos do you typically like?
Once I know these things I can start to jointly formulate a path of learning, goals, etc.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have done photography since I was 8 years old. I have studied Studio Arts, Expressive Arts, Painting, and Art Therapy at San Diego State University, Notre Dame de Namur University, and the Packard Art Studio in Los Altos, CA.
I have sold the majority of my finished paintings. I have had pieces in multiple shows, art sales and exhibits and have had my own show at the Santa Fe Brewing Company in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
