It's the bloodline of teaching. My mentor Doug, was getting off the bus to High School, And same morning getting in a van to play at The Whiskey. one evening he was playing Joe Satriani " Surfing with the Alien. I heard he was good. But not like good everyday guitarist. By ear he had the song down in 30 min. And flawless cover in an hour. I was baffled. Today I can hear and go right to the string and frets. I didn't even know he was teaching me these wonderful gifts.
