Jay Maike

Hi, my name is Jay Maike. I offer personalized instruction in piano/synth, music production software, and also songwriting. As a performer and former college instructor, I'm passionate about helping students get inspired and realize their creative potential. I'm able to coach students who wish to develop their own musical works, and those who are interested in learning covers and existing forms of written music.

I've spent the last 5 years as a Professor at Colorado College teaching audio production, songwriting, theory and more. Over the years, I've helped hundreds of students bring their music ideas to life, regardless of experience. On top of that, I have 15+ years experience in the industry between studio work and live sound engineering. I teach all DAW's but specialize in Ableton Live.

When I'm not teaching, I'm writing songs and playing shows with my band Deth Rali. Because of that, I also know a thing or two about marketing yourself as an artist, building your brand, and developing a music career if that's your goal.
