I went to the Concealed Carry class this morning and had a really awesome instructor! Very informative and a great teacher. I felt comfortable to ask questions. I would recomend Steve MacGregor to instruct my friends and family. He Rocked!

I enjoy empowering people when it comes to the intimidating enviroment of firearms handeling. So many students come into the Introduction to Pistol classes feeling very nervouse which is understandable. They are in control of a dangerous piece of equipment that could injure or even kill someone if handled in an improper manner. By walking the student through the safe handling steps in a very slow and meticulous manner their confidence in themselves to be safe starts to build. Watching confidence and safety build in a new student is very rewarding.

We took a beginners shooting class with instructor Steve MacGregor, and he was extremely thorough with all types of guns, their pro's and con's. Safety, how to handle the gun. Also, took time to help out with aiming, holding and shooting. He explained great how to work through my anticipation of the gun firing, how to hold and look through the front and rear sights correctly.
It was my first time doing this and my nerves were letting me feel it. I am super glad I took this class and would recommend Steve MacGregor. He was extremely meticulous not only in his appearance , ( which is important to me) but also in his teaching and explaining of everything. I would give him 5 stars.

March 1st 2021 Google Review M. Sullivan 5 STARS!
My son (17) and I participated in a class at Bristlecone with Steve MacGregor. He was a great instructor! Our class had a wide range of experience levels and Steve was extremely patient with people on the lower end but still offered tips to those on the higher end. If you want to learn to shoot, handle firearms safely, improve your skills, or even just feel more comfortable around firearms without an intent to use them, Bristlecone is a great option. Thanks again Steve!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Why do you want to learn to shoot a pistol? Is it for recreation, to be a competitive shooter or for selfe defense?
