About
Being creative, technically proficient, and provide superior customer service will take you far in this industry as a photographer. Be willing to push boundaries, and challenge yourself, not your client.
My BA is in Journalism (Photojournalism) from Metropolitan State College of Denver, and followed up with an MBA from Colorado Christian University.
I served as the Director of Media Operations for Prep Sports Online, and raised over $6 million in fundraising (media based advertising) for high school sports.
My experience includes working as a Photojournalist for ABC News, running my own photography business since 2004 managing up to 15 interns in one season, and serving as a Photojournalism Instructor at Metropolitan State College of Denver.
Working with people, sharing their experiences, and embracing that moment when you "Know" you got the right shot.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Don't be afraid to be challenged. Your work is and will be critiqued. It's about your "body of work" and the goal is to improve - that means being willing to listen, accepting, and then being able to make changes.
In today's world, that means being passionate for truth. Expect it from your instructors.
