Typically either a phone interview or a quick meet and greet to find out where they are with their skill set and where they would like to be so that we can focus on getting them to where they want to be with their photography.
I have 23 + years of experience in shooting photos of anything imaginable. Anything from Club life and Raves low-light scenarios nightscapes stars and Milky Way photos. Light painting, Boudoir, semi-nude implied and nude work, landscapes and scenery as well as wildlife I've even dabbled in some product photography. I am proficient with off-camera lighting light painting weddings portraits events anything you could pretty much name :-) I'm also relatively experienced in Photoshop and very experienced in Lightroom if you are looking for a little post-processing workflow help.
I have no standard pricing packages. Packages for workshops and camera tutelage are case-by-case. Beginner classes and things like that will start a bit cheaper more advanced classes on lighting light painting Landscapes and whatnot will cost a bit more but are very reasonable.
I've been shooting for so long it's something I've always loved doing so people started reaching out to me for help so I started giving classes off of Craigslist for people looking for tutelage. It has turned into something that has taken me across the country to teach photography workshops.
I have worked with everybody from 12 to 80 years old and from all walks of life. As long as the passion for photography is there and the willingness to learn I'm here to teach :-)
Make sure to hire a photography teacher or instructor that has shot many different genres of photography. Also make sure you take a look at their body of work to make sure that it represents a style or look that you appreciate. You should be able to tell by looking at somebody's portfolio whether or not they are technically proficient, talented, or a serious photographer in their profession.
