Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first help in planning their experience. Some are novices who like to go to the areas, while others are looking to go backcountry, or helicopter snowboarding. I ensure all levels get the safest and most fun experience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Coaching for over 30 years, working with everyone from royalty to racers to CEO's and young kids. Being a parent and coach has helped me relate to all generations.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Rates depend on level and if you need me to help plan your trip.
How did you get started teaching?
Being one of the only guys with a snowbaord, i became one of the first snowbaord instructors in the USA.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all abilities. While teaching novice is rewarding, I love the race prep and training, and the people who hire me to plan their entire experience and vacation.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
i always attend the Winter X Games in Aspen. Perhaps you have a child that dreams of competitng? Then let's get started now!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone that you can relate to and is patient. Look for the right coach and the one that has the most teaching and life experience 😎
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask what I will learn by the end of Day 1. Each day, make mutual goals and achieve them.
