About

My philosophy is about knowing your capabilities from where you are, setting reasonable expectations after a Quality Education and Reps, that will lead to your full potential later on.

The Game is constantly evolving and because I get to evolve with the game and its students including myself it's so much fun. Seeing students feel like they can learn from actual coaching without yelling or demeaning words. Seeing students feel successful and having fun.

My passion is working with athletes that know excellence comes from passion, focus and commitment. You aren't better or worse and there is a better way to view levels of competence.

I would say my strong suits are the ability to break down individual concerns per skill, per athlete, and finding the best course of action to get athletes from where they are to where they want to be.

We were looking for a private lesson or two to help with our high school daughter to improve her volleyball skills. We weren’t expecting too much however we were very surprised how much she learned with the first lesson. Coach Will really gave her some great recommendations to advance. He obviously loves volleyball and coaching. We will be signing up for more lessons!

Frequently asked questions

First Its getting to know the student, what is the player capable of and areas of weaknesses to work on. Setting reasonable expectations after a quality education and reps. Then setting a plan for ongoing training to excel the fastest in the shortest time possible.
I've worked with multiple High Schools, High School and College Clubs and coached players in private lessons from ages 5-85.
Depending on the Number of students it will vary but the more students the less it will cost per student. If we have to use a facility, day passes will be individually taken care of. Rentals will be split evenly between all participants, including myself.
Through play, I loved the game so much that I thought I could pass on what I thought I knew. It took being challenged plenty of times and continually being challenged to know I'm going to always find a better way to teach, coach, mentor athletes to be better as fast as possible.
I've worked with athletes who have vision issues, growth plate issues, injuries, lack of mobility and brand-new students as well as seasoned players who don't know as much as they think they do.
I recently attended an Art of Coaching Clinic and worked with some fantastic players who I thought would be wanting validation and instead where hungry to learn and do better.
If you're going to look for a coach, do they have the knowledge to help you and do they know and understand that they may not know everything or that their method may not be the only way to do certain skills. Do they value their lessons? Don't give free advice if you know that it will make a difference because then it has inherent value. Just because a of coaches playing experience, does that mean they are the most qualified to coach?
How far do you want to take Volleyball? Are you looking to start right away or in a few months? Are you looking to be validated or to learn? Teachers and Coaches deserve your respect of time and that coaches have to pay to respond to your requests so no matter your decision respond so they can move on and more coaches who genuinely care, are more willing to coach knowing others care about their desire to help in Volleyball when they don't have to. They can just enjoy playing and let you go through the longer process of trial and error before you discover what coaches have already learned to save you time.
