Welcome to Grand Valley Tutor LLC, established in 2016. With a BS in Mathematics and extensive graduate coursework in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, I bring both academic rigor and a deep understanding of the challenges students face. My own journey, starting from the very basics of math and working my way up, has instilled in me a unique empathy. I've been there, I've struggled, and I've overcome. This allows me to connect with students who feel overwhelmed or "not smart enough" for math.

Having facilitated university math remediation for 9 years, I've seen firsthand the transformation in students who once dreaded the subject. Comments like "I never felt smart enough to do math, now I know I can do it" and "This has always been my worst subject, and I earned my first A on a math test ever while in college" are testaments to our journey together.

My teaching philosophy? Challenge students to question, explore, and find answers. Dive deep into the subject, explore various approaches, and always strive for a deeper understanding.
