Miss Alicia is just great. She improved my daughters technique and helped her to enjoy playing music. My daughter is a dancer, and Miss Alicia incorporated dance theory in order to explain music theory to her; personalized the lesson to make her a better musician, which in turn made her a better dancer. We are just starting two more children with her, we like her that much.

My daughter has taken piano lessons from Alicia for 5 years and I could not be more pleased. Alicia is a passionate, talented and knowledgeable instructor who is simultaneously demanding and compassionate enabling her students to reach their true potential. Her comprehensive curriculum allows her students to understand the world of musical composition and theory on an age appropriate level. Alicias professional musical background brings insights and experience that have been invaluable to performing in front of others. My daughter loves and still eagerly looks forward to her lesson every week.

Miss Alicia is a gem: talented as both a musician and a teacher, professional, patient, and challenging in the most appropriate of ways. She is enthusiastic and sets high expectations for her students. Both my daughters have a strong foundational understanding of music theory, musicality, and the ability to read and play music because of her thoughtful teaching method. Each of us highly recommends Miss Alicia!

Our daughter has been taking lessons with Ms Alicia for 4 years. She absolutely adores her lessons. Ms Alicia takes the time to get to know her students personally and musically. She then caters the lessons and conversations during lessons on their personalities and learning archetypes! Our daughter has blossomed under her teaching!

Alicia is always professional and tries hard to make lessons fun and challenging. As an adult violin student, I appreciate that she encourages me to play music that I already enjoy listening to while still paying attention to the fundamentals such as finger and bowing techniques. Since I have an interest in music theory, I am grateful that in theory lessons she explains concepts in a way that I can understand and remember. With her guidance, I performed so much better than I expected in the ABRSM theory and practical violin exams. I completely recommend her to people of all ages interested in music lessons.

Miss Alicia is such an amazing teacher! Our son has been taking lessons with her for several years and is really flourishing in his music and self confidence. She inspires him and is really great at communicating what she expects and when she sees how hard he is working.

Frequently asked questions

I like to learn a little bit about the student, their interests, schooling, and musical influences. There is always something the two of us can bond over!

If the student has never played an instrument, we will dive right in to exploring and learning the anatomy of their instrument(s) as well as learn proper technique.

If the student has been playing for at least a year, we will look at their book system(s) and then play a piece they feel really accomplished on and go from there.

The first few lessons are always so exciting because we are both getting to know each other and show some of our talents (musical or not)!

Both my parents are classical musicians and I married a rock musician!  One could say music is my first language.

I started my formal Violin training at age 3 (Suzuki) and Piano training at age 7; toured multiple countries from 5-12 grade; and was Concert Master in local, state, and regional orchestras.

I have a BA in Music w/a Violin concentration, as well as a BS in Human Development and a Dance Minor, from SUNY (State University of New York) at Binghamton.

I have played in International Orchestras in Europe; toured with Tommy Lee's (Mötley Crüe) side project Rockstar Supernova; been conducted by Dave Brubeck (Take Five) and the late Marvin Hamlisch; participated in a Led Zepplin Tribute Band w/members of The 10,000 Maniacs; was asked to be on America’s Got Talent; recorded on multiple studio albums (classical, fiddle, rock, Celtic) which have played on air; opened for groups like Tea Party; played numerous weddings; and was either Principle 2nd Violin or a 1st Violin Section Member of chamber-symphonic orchestras that include Musicals, Operas, and Ballets.

Since moving to Colorado, I have continued my education by getting certified in Musikinesis and study Dalcroze at The Dalcroze Center of the Rockies.

40/45 min = $40

I work with Kindergartners-Adults; beginners through advanced/professionals looking to hone their skills.  I have taught individuals looking to play like Lindsey Stirling, play fiddle, move from their 2nd Violin section to 1st Violin section, become Concert Master, play in a rock band, learn movie score songs, play in worship bands, learn how to play chamber music (duos/trios/quartets), prepare for auditions, spruce up on a specific song for an event, you name it!  We can make a game plan together to accomplish any goal!
