I have over 20 years experience in adult education, in both college and corporate environments. That coupled with a life long passion for photography, makes it an extreme pleasure for me to work with aspiring photographers.
Over the years I have focused on underwater, oceanscape, and landscape photography. My work has appeared in books, magazines, scholastic journals, and electronic media worldwide.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
1. Create a course syllabus based on the student's specific needs.
2. Meet one day a week for 3 hours.
3. Photo sessions between weekly class sessions.
4. Critique the student's work and the work of others.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I became involved in photography in Junior High School. I have experience with both film and digital photography and the workflows associated with each. I have studied with industry leaders in both underwater and landscape photography.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is flexible based on the individual needs and objectives of the student.
I generally charge a flat rate of $500 with no fixed schedule. The coursework continues until the student's objectives are successfully met.
How did you get started teaching?
I began working at the Bell System Training center in Dublin Ohio in 1980 when I graduated from Ohio State. That led to teaching assignments at Columbus State College and the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) where I was in charge of Staff Development from 1987 - 1997.
What types of students have you worked with?
Adults from early college age and on up.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently received a sponsorship to have my photographs included in the fourth volume of the book Current Masters which is distributed worldwide.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Discuss your goals and objectives with the prospective teacher and work together to build a course of study that will help you achieve those goals and objectives.
