Charlie is AMAZING at what he does, he is very knowledgeable in all phases of Photography. I can't wait to go out into the field and work with him. His Photos are truly a work of art, I can only hope to be half as great as Charlie is. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for me. Forever my friend you will be!! Deb-

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

1. Create a course syllabus based on the student's specific needs.

2. Meet one day a week for 3 hours.

3. Photo sessions between weekly class sessions.

4. Critique the student's work and the work of others.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I became involved in photography in Junior High School. I have experience with both film and digital photography and the workflows associated with each. I have studied with industry leaders in both underwater and landscape photography.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Pricing is flexible based on the individual needs and objectives of the student.

I generally charge a flat rate of $500 with no fixed schedule. The coursework continues until the student's objectives are successfully met.

How did you get started teaching?

I began working at the Bell System Training center in Dublin Ohio in 1980 when I graduated from Ohio State. That led to teaching assignments at Columbus State College and the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) where I was in charge of Staff Development from 1987 - 1997.

What types of students have you worked with?

Adults from early college age and on up.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I recently received a sponsorship to have my photographs included in the fourth volume of the book Current Masters which is distributed worldwide.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Discuss your goals and objectives with the prospective teacher and work together to build a course of study that will help you achieve those goals and objectives.
