About
Meeting the student where they are and helping them navigate their way further along the path of their musical journey has always been my #1 goal. I have been teaching for 30 years, have taught at the collegiate level, and have a an undergraduate degree in Music as well as a graduate degree in Music & Jazz Studies. I teach a variety of methods geared towards students that want to be either great classical musicians, or pop musicians, or jazz musicians (or all three) and work with a variety of spectrums including autism and dyslexia. At the end of the day, I use a mix of music theory, notation practice, and ear and rhythm training to help students become literate musicians who are prepared for whatever they wish to pursue musically after they leave my tutelage.
