About
I teach classes and workshops at the Colorado Vintage and Art Market, a block south of Southwest Plaza. I teach many different kinds of Art because I think that people are much more creative than they think they are, and people want to express themselves in as many ways as possible! In all of us there is a drive to have an outlet for our creative and artistic gifts and talents that might be buried by just normal living in the world today. My job as a teacher is to help you unleash the inner creative artist that you are! I also am the Art Manager over 92 vendors and artists at CVAM, and there are many teachers that teach classes, other than just myself. So, you have a never-ending supply of teachers!
I love sharing my "tricks" and ways for a student to achieve finesse with their art materials, while working a project or a painting. I love seeing their sense of pride swell when they really see the work they have accomplished! I enjoy getting to know a person and truly love when they come back again, to try something new!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Every person on the planet has a different learning style. It is up to the teacher to teach within that learning style. I feel I am very good at assessing a student's capabilities and bettering their own opinion of their own capabilities! My students are always very pleased with their work when they leave!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taught art in various ways starting in 1987. I taught through stores, through groups, for parents of homeschoolers, and individuals in classes and workshops. I enjoy teaching! I also run my own business where I teach, paint in fine art and on furniture, do graphic arts, jewlery making, calligraphy, cake decorating, sewing, antique restoration, gold leafing and I am a picture frame and art restoration artist. I am the Art Manager at Colorado Vintage and Art Market, south of SouthWest Plaza. I run "Artopia Workshops" within the store. I also took classes at The Art Institute of Colorado, in graphic arts working with Adobe Illustrator. I am a Pinterest NUT and can teach just about anything that a student has pinned!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I like to keep my prices low: $25 per lesson, in general. Each class is 2 hours long. Materials fee *might* be added, but rarely! You have to come to the classroom at "Artopia Workshops" which is the lower level of the Colorado Vintage and Art Market. 9126 W. Bowles Ave., 2C, Littleton CO 80123. (Just a block south of SouthWest Plaza) Days and hours are flexible!
