About
I am an active teacher and performer. Most recently I served as Visiting Artist Instructor at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst for the 2018-19 year, teaching saxophone lessons to music majors and minors as well as instructing the methods course for music education majors. I also have experience teaching all levels, having student taught K-12 in New Hampshire, and teaching private lessons throughout my collegiate career. Through my teaching and performance experiences, I can cater to the needs of any student.
I am a classically trained musician who has presented recitals at conferences and festivals across the Northeast and Mississippi. As a classical saxophonist, I have a depth of knowledge of repertoire and music ranging from Baroque to cutting edge contemporary works. Along with my classical training I have a firm grasp of the fundamentals of jazz, having performed in big bands in New Hampshire and recorded an album with the University of New Hampshire’s top jazz ensemble.
Since moving to Colorado, I have enjoyed becoming a part of the Fort Collins community and exploring the beautiful country around me. I hope to put together a recital of old and new solo saxophone works for the community in the near future.
