I liked how he taught us and explained things in a way to make you feel like your art wasn’t bad but could always be improved upon which cultivated a nice space for learning and growing as an art student.

There is a missconception that art takes talent, or good artists are gifted. Becoming good at art takes work, focus, desire, and having the mindset that you can reach your potential. Just like learning to play the piano, you will need to practice the skills to get better. Be patient, try hard and you will see results.
What do you want to get better at? for example portraits, anatomy, animals, landscapes, and what can they provide to make you reach your goal. Ask teachers if they can provide examples of their work or student work.
