Hello, I provide my students with film and digital photography technical instruction as well as the aesthetic side of making and evaluating photographs. I've been teaching photography for over 25 years on the high school and college level.
Working with me will be done via Zoom and/or Google Meets. I can provide in person instruction to students living within 20 miles of Torrington, Connecticut.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We discuss what the student wants to learn,then set goals and have fun!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master of Fine Arts degree in photography from the Rhode Island School of Design and have taught visual art in a number of high schools and colleges.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons are 45-60 minutes in length and are priced at $45/lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
I was asked to help a biology class in my first job. I discovered I loved working with students.

All students are unique. I have worked with students ages 6 to 86.

I was in a group show, the first since the start of the pandemic.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone who can help you technically, aesthetically and listens to your needs.
