About

We are the only studio in CT on a waterfall. Before, during and after class relax to senic views and the healing sounds of the waterfall. Sit by the pond at sunset (or anytime) and watch baby swans learning to fly, rare birds singing, ducks playing, beavers building and herons stalking.

We offer many styles of Yoga taught by experienced and professional instructors. Learn to fly in Acro FUNdamentals, relax deeply in Yin Yoga or get playful in Paws & Stretch: Yoga with Cats. YES, we fill the studio with adoptable cats from Protectors of Animals for you to play with during practice and cuddle in savasana. We also offer fitness yoga, candlelight and vinyasa in the style of Shiva Rea, live music sing alongs, guided deep relaxation, and much, much more.

We have the best equipment in the state of CT. Thick sticky Yoga mats, extra supportive blankets, large bolsters, silk eye pillows, various sized blocks and straps, foam rollers, yoga balls, wedges, meditation cushions, yoga chairs, hoola hoops and more. We invite you to play with our toys at no extra cost or rental fees.

Our two practice studios are located in an old mill that was built in the 1800's and boasts high exposed ceilings, gorgeous wood floors and original brick walls. While historic in it's achitecture, we have all the modern amenities - air conditioning in summer and comfortable warmth in winter (we keep it around 78 degrees), walls lined with windows, beautiful lighting and rows of silent fans to keep the air fresh while you breathe deep.

We are in Middletown, a city known for it's variety of ethnic restaurants and bars - some with regular live music, art events, Weslyan College, local shopping and it's many parks along Main Street and the CT River. While we are in close proximity to all that Main Street has to offer, we are tucked away enough that we have plently of free and well lit parking, peace and quiet and lots of privacy.

Other than the waterfall and wildlife, the best part of CT Yoga Center is hands down the people. Our community of students and teachers are friendly, welcoming and accepting. Many people are intimitated and dont' know what to expect their visit. After a couple of classes, they make a few friends and feel right at home. We have a large client base that has been with us since we first opened our doors in 2012 that are happy to show you the ropes and meet you for coffee or lunch after class.

Our teachers are excited to share their love of Yoga and go out of their way to remember your name and support your practice. Most classes are large enough to enjoy the positive energy of a group while being small enough that the instructors can give plenty of individual attention. We are all inclusive, meaning that no matter your age, ability, and personal characteristics you are sure to feel comfortable practicing with people that are just like you while learning about other ways of being through your friendships in our diverse community.
