Christine is fantastic. My daughter fully enjoys soaking in all her knowledge. So glad we found her and cannot wait to see more of all the skills my daughter is learning.

I discovered Christine about 2 years ago at Silvermine School of Art in New Canaan, Ct. I had studied pastel previously but hadn’t touched the medium in several years. I was thrilled to find another pastel teacher but apprehensive. She was and is wonderful. She guided me through the experience of working in the medium again. And, she’s a fount of information on everything from where to purchase colors to surfaces and even framing. She loves to introduce new techniques as well. As a student, she makes you feel respected and that you’re part of the ‘pastel junkie” club, in the best possible way.

Chris is very knowledgeable and has many years of experience painting in oils and pastels. She is very open to whatever the subject you are considering painting and is helpful in critiquing. While she is a true realist, I find her helpful with my abstract approach to pastels.

Chris easily makes each student feel their work has merit. She shares her extensive knowledge of painting through demonstrations. I have benefited from her personal suggestions and critiques.

Chris is an extraordinarily hardworking artist & teacher with an especially keen eye for design. She’s totally devoted to the pastel world and I’m so happy to have found my way to her door. Even I improved with her guidance. And Chris is funny as hell.😬
