Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I like to develop a good understanding of the level of athleticism the student has with a series of warm up exercises and some agility work. Next I will test the students basic skills of passing, setting, hitting, and serving. Once this has all been established I can carry on to the developmental phases of the lessons to create a progressive learning environment. I encourage the student to move out of their comfort zone to develop and master the necessary skills they will need to succeed at their level of play.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started playing volleyball when I was 10 years old. I played 4 years of travel volleyball for LIVBC where in my last year we finished 6th in the nation. I attended NJIT to play Division 1 volleyball for 4 years from 2015-2019. I played in a total of 59 matches throughout my career as an outside hitter and libero. Starting Spring 2021 I was the assistant coach for the men's volleyball team at St.Joseph's college in Patchogue, I still currently am the assistant coach.
