I am an ear player and customize music lessons according to student’s abilities and interests rather than by the book. With almost 3 decades experience playing and teaching music, my passion is teaching beginner-intermediate guitar, mandolin, cello, and banjo. Music making should be fun, thats why they call it playing!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start by listening and asking questions to gague the student's strengths, passions and musical goals. Lessons are most fruitful when lead by the student's interests and questions.
