About

I provide the best basketball training in Connecticut. I love what I do. Every detail matters. I think now a days trainers and coaches get caught up in the money and business aspect of basketball. We tend to forget that this is about growing our youth. There is SO MUCH MORE to basketball than just picking a ball up. All kids should have the opportunity to learn the game the right way.

I enjoy seeing the athletes I work with actually try their hardest. Working hard will cost you nothing at all. As long you stay the course and actually want to truly get better, there is NOTHING you cannot do. Every step, every shot, and every dribble matters. I love seeing the athletes I work with actually see there hard work translate into the game, it is truly AMAZING!

Definitely one of the best trainers I have worked with. We played together at Lincoln University. I now play professional in Lithuania. He knows the game in and out. For all the people looking to hire a trainer, JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE PLAYED COLLEGE BASKETBALL OR PLAYED PROFESSIONAL BASKETBALL DOES NOT MEAN THEY CAN TRAIN ATHLETES!!!! I had to say that. This man knows the game. Every time I come back in town from overseas I hit him to work me out. Thank you Ivery!

A friend of mine from high school told me about Ivery. I was looking to get my daughter into training. AAU was just too expensive. AAU coaches never really had the time to make my daughter better. They practice for an hour 2 days a week and then BOOM, 3 games on the weekends. Hiring Ivery was a great choice. He helped my daughter become a better person, not just athlete. I don’t know much about the game, but she loves going and learning with him! If she loves it, I love it! Thank you Ivery

Best Trainer In CT!! The man knows the game. I used to coach. I coached for 30 years and seeing him interact with my son was an amazing experience. He paid attention to the smallest details. He made sure that my son understood. He continuously encouraged him. Great person. We now workout with him 4 times a week.

I workout with this man at least 3 times a week and I am able to do that because he is super affordable. Thank you for the help Ivery. He loves what he does. It is not about the money. Best trainer in CT, BY FAR! A lot of trainers get big and start charging OUTRAGEOUS prices, but Ivery is one of a kind!!!!!!!!!!!

Frequently asked questions

Every Athlete should first realize that NO ONE in this world can force them to want to get better. They have to truly want to get better in their own heart. I train my athlete based off of where they are in their game. Not every athlete learns the same or has the same role, but ALL athletes that train have one common goal in mind, THEY WANT TO GET BETTER. I find weaknesses in an athletes game and we build from there. We work on perfecting their strengths as well.

I played College basketball at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. I was not the best on the team. I graduated with my degree. Even though I wasn't good enough to go to the next level, I still did not want to separate from the game. That's when I got into studying the game from the other side.
