Alchemical Art Studio

I have been an artist for a lifetime and a teacher for 25 years. I am a state certified High School Art Teacher, and have taught hundreds of adults as well. In addition, I have certification in Expressive Arts for Healing from Salve Regina University. As an art instructor I love teaching painting and drawing of all styles. I take a compassionate approach to individual creative expression so as to meet each individual’s personal goals. Whether you are a beginner or intermediate artist, I can help guide you on your journey. Those with more advanced skills can benefit from working with me through my expressive arts approach to deepen creativity.

I have received several awards for exemplary achievement, hold a state educator certification, a certificate in Expressive Arts for Healing, and am a certified meditation and mindfulness teacher which I weave into my lessons. I recently was awarded a Fellowship with Fund for Teachers and the Dalio foundation and spent a month in Hawai’i studying with Native Hawai’ian artists and craftspeople.

There is nothing better than seeing a smile of a student who has created something they love. While I love creating art, teaching and sharing skills with others is my soul work.
