We are the first in Connecticut to do paint and sip. 7 years studio is open, over 20 years painting experience.
Love to embrace inviduality. Even in group settings- everyone translates instructions differently- but they always come out awesome!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We have a beautiful fun studio, entertaining and talented staff, with three party rooms to serve your needs. Our staff is friendly and funny and focus on each person to help draw out their inner artist. Whether it be in private lessons or a group class, no one gets neglected (like most fanchises- WE ARE A LOCAL BUSINESS) we promise no skills required! SERIOUSLY! We take the time to get to know you and assist you step by step to a work of art created by you!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our artists come from many different art natured backrounds and professions. All bring a unique perspective to the classes.
The owner has over 20 years painting experience, Navy Veteran and mom- she take pride in teaching others and passing on her skills and knowledge to others.
Other artists are also photographers, illustrators, jewelry makers, teachers, and so on.

Prices are very affordable-
pre-scheduled Group classes (2 hours)each range from $30-$35 each
Canvas and Wine GLass Painting Available...
We travel too! travel fee applicable*
Private Lessons- Start at only $25/hour/person! All art supplies and instruction included!
Face/Body Painting- Only $85/hour (includes travel fee up to 15miles away)
How did you get started teaching?
Ive always loved art- Drawing, painting, creating. Art was always a refuge for my crazy life.
After the Military and a few more "reliable jobs", i started listening to my heart and chose to pursue art as a career.
I started with interior design, murals, and many odd colorful projects- learned i loved to teach and switched greas when i came to connecicut in 2010.
2010 i founded TDP Art Studio, The Drunken Palette. Premise was to make art and lessons afforable and fun for al ages. Adult classes- encourage "liquid courage" to up the fun factor.

I am not sure there is a "type" of student we have not worked with. We have served groups and indiviuals below (not limited to)....

We have been the artists to create, curate and install the entire first floor of BDJ Middle School.
The studio is extremely community oriented- We have DONATED OVER $40,000 since 2011 back into the local community via events, raffle items, volunteer time-
We make the world more colorful one brushstroe at a time!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be preparred to be amazed!
Our artisits are paired with your specific needs to maximize your beautful outcome!
We proved you with top of the line art supplies- we use brands like royal&langnickel, Windsor Newton, Royal Crafts & more. We could use cheaper brands but how would that help you?
Have something you would lie to do or try- just ask. With a studio this big and a staff as talaented as we are, there is not limit to the possibilites!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Simply have a rough idea in mind what you would like to do. even if its just a s vague as wanting to spend time together- we will happily suggest services to help you find your inner artist.
