I am a PhD student in mathematics with a decade of experience in tutoring students, starting in high school. I have tutored and taught math courses in Croatia and at SBU.
I strive to convey the underlying ideas in mathematics through illustrative examples.

I assess the student's capabiities through a number of questions/examples and start working on the area of the material that they understand the least.
I am a Phd student in pure mathematics at Stony Brook University. I have a Master's Degree in theoretical mathematics from a well-regarded European university. Through the years I have taught a number of mathematics courses and tutored many students.
If you are willing to travel to Stony Brook University for your lessons, they would be $40 per hour, regardless of course/level of difficulty.
While I was in high school, I decided to do something productive with my free time, so I started tutoring my peers in any subject they found they needed help with. As my interest in mathematics developed, I also focused my tutoring on mathematics. By the time I finished high school, tutoring had become a regular part of my life, and I continued to tutor through my university years.
I have taught and tutored a very representative sample of the students at Stony Brook: from students aspiring to become mathematicians themselves, to students not interested in mathematics at all.
