James Aselta Baseball
About
My name is James Aselta, I am currently a college student at Southern Connecticut. I have been playing baseball my whole life, and I was previously at Lafayette College during my freshman season. I am in the transfer portal looking for a new school to play for next year. For some working background, I have worked out of IST Norwalk during my senior year, at which I attended Fairfield Preparatory. I have a great time working with younger kids and teaching them the ins and outs of the game. I can help with any aspects of the game from hitting to pitching as I did both of those at the D1 level. Please feel free to reach out to me at 203-451-8896! I look forward to hearing from you!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
At first I want to build a relationship with each kid that I'm working with and find what their strengths and weaknesses are.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have wokred with countless coaches that have either trained professional athletes or were ones themselves. I also atteneded IMG Academy for two years during highschool, which presented the highest level coaches there could be in the highschool level.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I would charge $60 a lesson, which would be an hour long. Compared to most "professional"coaches out there who charge $100 or even more per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching by helping around my local little league with practices and lessons.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with mainly little leaguers but am open to anyone willing to get better.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent event I am most fond of is my highschool team winning the SCC championship for baseball last year.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone that is invested in your potental and wants to see you do your best no matter the area.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Trying to understand what they are best at and what needs to be improved. When an athlete finds somehting they excel in it allows them to have confidence in that area, and when they see an area that needs improvement they can find the best ways to turn that into a strength.
