James Aselta Baseball
About
Hi, I’m James Aselta—current D1 college baseball player and local coach. I’ve played both D1 hitting and pitching (Lafayette College / Elon University/ Sacred Heart University), giving me a unique 360-degree understanding of what it takes to dominate on the field.
I don't just run kids through generic drills; I teach them the modern, elite player-development systems I’ve mastered from training at the top facilities in the country:
Tread Athletics (Nation's premier data-driven pitching development)
Kinetic Pro Baseball Tampa (Elite biomechanics & velocity progression)
ATP Stamford & IST Norwalk (High-level sports performance & throwing routines)
Coaching Experience:
As a local Fairfield Prep alum and coach at The Batters Eye in Norwalk, I love teaching younger kids the true ins and outs of the game. My focus is on boosting confidence, cleaning up mechanics to prevent injury, and helping athletes consistently perform at their highest level.
What I Offer:
Hitting: Clean swing paths, explosive bat speed, and situational approach.
Pitching: High-level velocity development, pinpoint command, and pro arm-care routines.
Fielding: Proper footwork, glove work, and position-specific fundamentals.
Whether your player is just starting out or chasing a high school or college roster spot, let's build a plan to get them there.
Unshakeable In-Game Mindset: Building dominant confidence, smart pitch sequencing, and elite routines to stay completely calm and outsmart the competition under high pressure.

I have wokred with countless coaches that have either trained professional athletes or were ones themselves. I also atteneded IMG Academy for two years during highschool, which presented the highest level coaches there could be in the highschool level.

I would charge $60 a lesson, which would be an hour long. Compared to most "professional"coaches out there who charge $100 or even more per hour.

I started teaching by helping around my local little league with practices and lessons.

I have worked with mainly little leaguers but am open to anyone willing to get better.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent event I am most fond of is my highschool team winning the SCC championship for baseball last year.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone that is invested in your potental and wants to see you do your best no matter the area.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Trying to understand what they are best at and what needs to be improved. When an athlete finds somehting they excel in it allows them to have confidence in that area, and when they see an area that needs improvement they can find the best ways to turn that into a strength.
