About

AMBC2 is dedicated to the instruction of players on all levels. Our programs are tailored to address the needs of our players while focusing on physical fitness as well as self-esteem.

AMBC2 provides one on one instruction, team training, and group education. We host youth leagues, camps, coaching clinics, tournaments and are proud members of Lightning AAU.

It is our goal to provide players with meaningful instruction and promote wellness in a controlled and stress-reducing environment.

AMBC2 is committed to player development. Al Morales is an advocate of self-paced learning in pursuit of progress.

Individualized training is provided by Coach Morales who has worked with all skill levels including elementary, middle and high school age, college-level, professional and NBA players.

One on One instruction with Coach Morales allows for the player to partner with him to identify and address strengths and weaknesses. It is a perfect starting point for beginners, as well as a safe space for players who experience game induced anxiety. Individual instruction helps build confidence and promotes player assertiveness.

I brought my 7 year old son to Al for a lesson last fall. He was engaging, professional and a tremendous teacher! He was quickly able to evaluate his skills and develop a lesson that was perfectly appropriate for his skill level. Al was also able to connect with my son on a personal level and motivated him through each progression. He’s awesome!

Coach Al is a terrific coach who helps his players in all aspects of their game. His one-to one coaching is motivating and challenging to all levels of players. My son, has benefitted greatly from their time on the court together.

    Frequently asked questions

The first step would be a basketball background so that we can get a sense of what level the student is currently at.

A complete program and verbal guide would then be issued with progression steps.

I am a retired overseas player, HS coach for the last 17 years, a member of the NABC, NCAA LABC (Latin Assoc. of Basketball Coaches) and present AAU Comissioner.

All home visit training sessions are $65.

Once retired from playing, I got involved in my NYC neighborhood with CYO, travel and AAU.

I have worked with all skill levels including elementary, middle and high school age, college-level, professional and NBA players.

My advice (as a parent) would be to surround my player with a trainer who can provide skills and drills that would enhance their play, work ethic, confidence and self-esteem. I would not be worried about where they played at.

Because you played the game (no matter what level) doesnt always mean you can teach the game.

    1. Do I really love the game.

    2. Do I want to get better.

    3. Am I coachable.
