About
I am a full time professional harpist and Juilliard graduate with a passion for the harp and sharing it with students of all ages and levels. I have a busy teaching studio in Wilton, CT where I enjoy working with students of all different backgrounds and interests. I am also an adjunct Professor of Harp at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield. My students have won awards for harp performance from the National Federation of Music Clubs, the American Harp Society, the Stamford Symphony, the Schubert Club of Fairfield County, St. Paul’s School in London and Manhattanville College. A number of my students have participated in area youth symphonies. I am also the Founder and Director of the Elyrica Summer Chamber Music Program, now in its twentieth year. This week-long event features harp ensembles of various levels and sizes, for all levels, with everyone making music and having fun together. I have worked with Arts for Learning of CT performing extensively for schools and I am also a Vice President of the CT Chapter of the American Harp Society.
I began the harp at the age of seven, and I was a scholarship student at The Juilliard School where I received my Bachelor and Master of Music Degrees in Harp Performance with master Harp Teacher, Susann McDonald. I have great training to pass along to my students. I was presented in my New York Debut in Carnegie Recital Hall as a winner of the Artists International Competition. I have appeared in concert throughout the United States, performed at the World Harp Congress in Paris, France, and Seattle, Washington, played for the Prime Minister of Ireland, Queen Sirikit of Thailand, and other dignitaries. I am a founding member of the Irish music group “Themselves”, and the Fontenay Chamber Players, and I am also the principal harpist with The Bridgeport, Norwalk and Ridgefield Symphonies. My CD "Sounds of the Seine" with flutist Donna Milanovich is available on the Delos International label.
