About
Photography has been my passion for 20+ years. That passion grew from a hobby taught by my father to working professionally for a studio shooting weddings, fashion and beauty. While working for Colbert Photography I started Kevin Rabito Photography in 2008. While I am no longer shooting weddings, Kevin Rabito Photography is the place for family and personal portraits and commerical beauty.
I've taught in the past through my local town's continuing education program two photography classes. The first class was about getting to know your camera and taking it further than just setting it on auto and pressing the shutter button.
The second class was a basic class on understanding light for those who wanted to get started with lighting other than using available light. Both courses met once a week meeting with assignments to work on during the week, meeting for 5 sessions. Both classes can be adjusted to group or individual instruction with flexible schedules.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
While I learned on the traditional SLR camera, I am strictly digital now. So my lessons are all geared towards digital. There are basics that apply to both as far as composition and exposure, but my focus is with digital.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Lots of on the job training being in the field with my camera building my portfolio. There was an ad in one of the online jobsites for a second shooter for a studio. So I applied. I met with the studio owner and he liked my work. Photographed for the studio for 10 years and became good friends with the owner.
I did at one point take a couple continue education classes. Picked up a few tips, but the majority of it I already had under my belt from being in the field. What I got out of was that I liked helping people with their photography. So see the "How did I get started teaching" section below.
How did you get started teaching?
I wanted to teach, so I signed up with my towns continuing education program. I've also presented various programs for the local camera club that I am a member of and previously a club president.
