About
I am Dr. Kimberly McCord, a semi-retired professor of music education. I specialize in special music education, teaching mostly instruments, composing and improvisation to children and adults with (dis)abilities or disorders. I have taught special music education for 30 years and I have presented all over the world. I also have published many books and articles.
Just Accessible Music, located in Shelton, Connecticut, offers a unique approach to learning music. The studio focuses on providing an accessible, research-based method for those who want to play music but aren't keen on reading music. We utilize the Figurenotes system which simplifies the process of making music, making it more enjoyable and less daunting for learners.
