Elizabeth Bley’s Clarinet Studio, LLC
About
I am an extremely dedicated and supportive teacher who helps each of my students improve their clarinet skills as well as their self confidence. I clearly communicate weekly practice goals to each student, and I teach them the most efficient and effective ways of practicing. I have a well organized studio that contains lots of Bb clarinets, A clarinets, Eb clarinets, bass clarinets, and contra clarinets, as well as reeds, mouthpieces, ligatures, and any other accessories they might need. My studio also has a piano and an incredible music library with a large selection of solo repertoire, orchestral excerpts, method studies, technique studies, scale studies, duets, small ensembles, and clarinet choir music. As a member of the International Clarinet Association and as a Vandoren Artist-Clinician, I have working relationships with clarinet professors at many of the top music schools in the U.S. and internationally, and I have experience preparing students for successful undergraduate performance auditions.
I love helping my students maximize their potential and reach their goals. Every student is unique, and I tailor my lessons and teaching style to make help them make the most progress during our limited time together, as well as teach them skills for efficient and effective practice at home. I am very proud of the fact that my students excel in local, state and national competitions and that I am able to help them achieve success using a positive, nurturing and supportive approach.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first step is to schedule a trial lesson with the student and at least one parent present. This is an opportunity for all of us to get to know one another and ensure that we are a good fit. During the trial lesson, I assess the student's skill level and make recommendations regarding areas we will focus on initially as well as equipment.
