What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I first meet a person, I like to evaluation the student so I know the level of swimming skills I need to teach.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a former RedCross water safety Instructor for over 25 years. The eperience I gain as a RedCross WSI priceless.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have instuctor learn to swim classes for over 32 years. When I first started instructing swimming lessons, I began teaching childen. After a year or two teaching of instructing childen, started instructing special need childen. from special needs childen, I began instructing totally terrify Adults. Last and not least, Parant and infant lessons. The above experience is my first 15 years of learning crafted of teaching swimming. That brief history should give picture of who I have work with in the water.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
As a seasoned swimming instrutor, I would like my swimming instructor to be a certifed Lifefuard.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I believe every adult student should understand that the beginning of something can sometime be challenging. If the adult student come to the swimming in mind I must learn swimming, learning to swim will happen. Its Just A Matter Of Time.
