I love the patience and care she has with my 5 year old. You can tell how much she loves to teach children, and my kid really enjoys learning art from Mstudio West.

Karina is super patient and has a lot of different techniques and options to teach for beginners like myself. She does a great job of making you feel comfortable and creates a relaxing envirornment for newcomers to painting (bonus points for her awesome dog!). Very happy to have found her on here as I’ve been looking for painting classes for a while in DC without luck. Highly recommend!

Karina is a fantastic teacher. She has really let me explore lots of different painting approaches while offering ideas, encouragement and guidance. She's an excellent painter and makes lesson s really really fun! Highly recommend her

Karina is a really great teacher no matter how experienced you are! She doesn’t micromanage and she lets you decide how you want the class to go, but provides guidance and suggestions along the way. I started classes just to find a stress relieving hobby and it has been great for me! She makes sure that the class is for YOU and your preferences, and not for her. I would highly recommend her as an instructor!

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Tell a teacher what you are mainly interested in , because each class can be tailored to specific needs of a student.

Also, discuss the supplies, a good teacher may recommend a better place to shop, or may be willing to “ build in” the cost of supplies into a payment, it can save you some money.
